Dennis Lee “Denny” Hayes, 72, of Campbellsville, KY son of the late Kenneth and Lucille (Adams) Hayes, was born in Marion County, KY on October 30, 1947. He departed this life on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Taylor Regional Hospital.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. Mr. Hayes was a retired farmer, and enjoyed spending his time with his family. He loved to read his Bible and serve God and his church, and was a talented and well-respected bird dog trainer.

Wife: Susie Diane (Flinchum) Hayes
4 children: Tammy Hayes and companion Brian Benningfield of Campbellsville, Steve Hayes and wife Jill of Lebanon, Tim Hayes of Campbellsville, and Sandy Smothers and husband Mark of Campbellsville
2 stepchildren: Beth Hunt and Jeff Hunt and wife Tammy, all of Campbellsville
2 brothers: Rodney Hayes and wife Linda, and Wayne Hayes and wife Karen, all of Lebanon

7 great-grandchildren

He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Dalton Levi Hayes, and a brother, Robert Hayes.
Mr. Hayes will be laid to rest in the Brookside Cemetery.
Due to efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19 and recent requirements implemented by the Office of Governor Andy Beshear and the Kentucky Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, all funeral services will be performed privately.
