Joyce Ann Vance, 78, of Green County, KY daughter of the late William Thompson and Mildred Nile Thompson, was born on Sunday, December 7, 1941 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at her home.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. She was a retired machine operator for Fruit of the Loom, Inc. after 35 plus years of service. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, was a woman of great love for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all of her family.
She united in marriage to Georgie H. Vance on June 15, 1957 who preceded her in death on February 22, 2003.
SURVIVORS: 2 daughters & sons-in-law: Darlene and Jeff Bishop, and Vickie and Chris Davis all of Greensburg; 3 grandchildren: Laura Ashley Herron and her husband, Talvan, Brad Davis and his wife, Sarah, Casey Russell and her husband, Joshua all of Greensburg; 1 grandson-in-law: Craig Judd of Greensburg; 9 great-grandchildren: Meredith and Hailey Judd, Marley, Raylen, and Ryder Davis, Charlee, Stella and Owen Russell, and Rylan Herron; 1 sister-in-law: Roberta Thompson of Louisville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Vance was also preceded in death by a granddaughter: Heather Ann Bishop Judd; and three brothers: William "Bill" Thompson, Jack Thompson, and Eli Thompson.

Burial: New Salem Cemetery
Visitation: 3:00-8:00pmCT on Friday after 7:00amCT on Saturday
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the New Salem Cemetery, which can be made at the funeral home.
