Mitsuko “Mickey” Mershon, 91, of Bellvue, Nebraska, formerly of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late Masaji Okuno and Hanako Okuno, was born March 30, 1928 in Tokyo, Japan. She died at 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in Bellevue.
She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to Joseph W. “Joe” Mershon January 21, 1957 and he preceded her in death September 13, 1996.
SURVIVORS: 3 sons and 1 daughter: Lloyd Mershon and wife Donna, and Elgin Mershon and wife Tina of Campbellsville, Linda Marie Watkins and husband Gail of Bellevue, Nebraska and Walter Mershon and wife Debbie of Ft. Thomas; 8 grandchildren: Diana Watkins of Omaha, Nebraska, Valerie Cisna and husband Jim of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Edward Watkins and wife Kate of Thornton, Colorado, Tyler Mershon and wife Molly of Louisville, KY, Andrew Mershon of Lexington, KY, Amanda Hubble and husband Daniel of Waynesburg, KY, Kallie Scott and husband Jeff and Joey Mershon of Campbellsville, KY; 2 step-grandchildren: Bethany Walker of Los Angeles, California and Ryan Walker of Georgetown, Indiana; 11 great-grandchildren: Ashley Bishop and Jessica Bishop of Omaha, Nebraska, Morgan Cisna of Air Force Academy, Noah Cisna of Eglin Air Force Base, Madison Mershon of Louisville, KY and Karolee Carter of Ft. Thomas, KY, Annabelle Scott and Isaac Scott of Campbellsville, Emily Hubble, Elijah Hubble, and Easton Hubble of Waynesburg; several nieces & nephews and many other relatives & friends.
