Irma Jane Gilpin, 94, of Campbellsville, KY was born on February 18, 1925 to the late Ben and Emma (Stillwell) Thompson. She departed this life on Friday, January 31, 2020 in Campbellsville.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Soules Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a retiree of Fruit of the Loom and an exceptional cook. Always cherishing life’s blessings, she never met a stranger, and equally shared her kindness and love with all she knew.
Mrs. Gilpin was the devoted wife of Mr. Edwin Gilpin, who preceded her in death on April 18, 2009 after 58 years of marriage.

Her brother-in-law: Nolan “Hotshot” Gilpin and wife Shirley
1 special niece and caretaker: Sue Clarke-Goodin and husband Gary
A host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by five brothers: James Thompson, Albert Thompson, J.B. Thompson, Freddie Thompson, and Edward Thompson; and two sisters: Betty Young and Hazel Roark.
Funeral Service: Monday, February 3, 2020 at 11:00amET in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY with Bro. Ronnie Dooley officiating
Burial: in Lebanon National Cemetery with her husband
