Preston Delano “Sam” Stamp, 80, of Elk Horn, KY passed from this life on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Taylor Regional Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on June 13, 1939 in Taylor County, KY, son of the late Clem Preston and Eva Mabel (Abell) Stamp.
Sam was a retired auto mechanic and was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed farming and was a talented builder.
As a young man, he met and married Mrs. Betty Lou (Clark) Stamp, and they remained a devoted couple until her death in 2012. He was also preceded in death by a son, David Stamp; an infant daughter, Eva Marie Stamp; and a sister, Maydra Arleen Weaver.

Burial: Merrimac Cemetery (beside his cherished wife)
Visitation: The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 PM
