Gary Dale Henderson, 65, of Campbellsville, KY passed from this life on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Jewish Hospital after an extended illness. He was born on May 31, 1954.
Gary had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. He was a truck driver, retiring only when his health began to fail. He loved watching races, especially dragsters and NASCAR, and attended as many events as he could. He had a knack for motors, and was a talented mechanic until the end.

3 children: Allen Henderson and wife Brenda of Greer, South Carolina, Michael Henderson and wife Bonnie of Fletcher, North Carolina, and Derek Henderson and wife Kimberley of Greenville, South Carolina
1 stepdaughter: Diane Cox of Campbellsville
Former spouse and mother of his children: Jackie Bailey of Campbellsville
2 sisters: Juanita Wolford of Campbellsville, and Paula Grumbles and husband Roger “Whitey” of Travelers Rest, South Carolina
9 grandchildren
1 great-grandchild
2 close friends: Doug Wolford and Daniel Bryant

He was also preceded in death by his parents: Vird Lewis and Ermine (Coakley) Henderson; and two siblings: Lillie Whitlow and Wilbur Henderson.
Funeral Service: Sunday, December 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY
Visitation: Sunday, Dec 29, 2019 beginning at 12:30pmET
Mr. Henderson requested cremation following the service.
