Taylor County Fire fighters were dispatched to a house fire Friday evening just after 6pm at 1110 Salleetown Rd.

Upon arrival firefighters found a large two-story home heavily involved, due to the size of the home,  additional departments were requested to assist with manpower and water supply.

 

Big Dawg News has learned one or more persons received burns were treated by Taylor County EMS at least one person was airlifted from the scene and transported to a burn unit.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation and at this time appears to be accidental.

 

No firefighters were injured.
