On June11, 2024 at 2:14 p.m. Marion County EMS and Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of 200 Radio Station Road near the Lebanon City limits. Found in the area was the body of a deceased adult male lying facedown along the roadside. Further investigation found an unoccupied small Ford tractor in a ditch on the opposite side of the roadway from where the body was discovered. The deceased was identified as Charles Cooper (71) of 235 Radio Station Road in Lebanon. Preliminary investigation indicates that Cooper may have suffered from a medical emergency and was ejected from the tractor when it traveled off the roadway. The Marion County Coroner was called to the scene, pronounced Cooper deceased, and transferred the body to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville.
