The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reports that on June 8 at 3:25 a.m. the Lebanon Police Department Dispatch Center received calls reporting that a person had been shot at a residence on Frank Lee Road approximately (4) miles south of Raywick, upon arrival the Marion County Sheriff’s Office found that Marion County Deputy Sheriff William Patrick Skaggs age (24) had sustained a fatal gunshot while in his personal residence.

Officials with the Sheriff’s Office requested investigative assistance from Kentucky State Police Post 15 and turned the scene over to K.S.P. personnel, Skaggs was pronounced dead by the Marion County Coroner office and transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville, the investiagtion contines Marion County officials sheriff’s Clements asks that all requests for information related to this case be directed to K.S.P.
