Campbellsville Fire-Rescue was dispatched to a report of a person in distress in the water at Green River Lake (Lone Valley) Sunday evening at 6pm. Upon arrival, firefighters found that a man was missing in the water and his vehicle was in the water also.

Upon arrival, firefighters began interviewing witnesses to get an approximate point last scene. 3 public safety divers entered the water and began an immediate search for the subject, divers located Harold Mattingly age 69 of Lebanon approximately 110' from the ramp and 15' deep water, Mattingly was pronounced deceased by Campbellsville Taylor County Coroners Office.

Public safety divers then began vehicle recovery operations, bringing the vehicle back to the ramp. The incident is being investigated by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement and Taylor County Coroner's Office.
