A Lexington man was arrested after shooting his stepfather on Friday afternoon on Old Lebanon Road in Campbellsville.

Taylor County Sheriff Dickie Benningfield told 99.9 The Big Dawg News that Nathaniel Tristan Richerson, 41 of Lexington, is charged with shooting Patrick Russell, 61 of Campbellsville, in the head.

Mr. Russell was taken to the UK Medical Center in Lexington; Richerson was arrested at the scene and charged with attempted murder and lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center. 

The incident occurred just after 1pm Friday afternoon and Sgt. Mark Dicken investigated.
