Officer Stephen Dobson became a member of the Campbellsville Police Department just eight (8) short months ago in April of 2023.  Officer Dobson is the recipient of the 2023 Officer of the Year Award.  During Officer Dobson’s short time with the Campbellsville Police Department, his can-do attitude, knowledge of the job and willingness to excel has set the standard for Officers to follow within the Department.  His lead by example attitude and attention to detail, not only in his personal appearance, but also his work ethic sets the standards for others to follow.  Officer Dobson’s aggressiveness has led to over 377 arrests, all while maintaining this winning attitude.  Officer Dobson is always there to lend a hand or offer assistance as needed, whether on duty or off, while maintaining that delicate balance between his professional career and his family life, yet another example for others to follow.  During only 8 months of service, Officer Dobson opened over 34 cases, investigated over 21 traffic collisions and wrote over 985 citations.  The professionalism displayed by Officer Dobson brings great credit upon himself, the Campbellsville Police Department and the City of Campbellsville.
