Taylor Regional Hire's Interim CEO

The Taylor Regional Hospital Board of Trustees announced today that Shane Fitzgerald has been named as interim CEO and will assume the role on Thursday, January 5th .

 

Fitzgerald currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for UofL Health – Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

 

He has an extensive background in hospital operations and has served in multiple roles at the executive level, including VP of Mission, and VP of Operations. He holds both a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics/Public Policy and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University Southeast along with a Master of Arts and Master of Divinity in Theology from The Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis.

 

“The TRH Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the addition of Shane Fitzgerald as interim CEO. Mr. Fitzgerald will continue the commitment of high-quality health care that our community has long been accustomed. He has experience in all facets of health care administration and is anxious to assist the TRH Board during the search for a new full time CEO,” said Dr. Ben Cox, board chair. In 1972, construction began on Taylor County Hospital.
