The smell of smoke continues to fill the air in Campbellsville and Taylor County today after the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife  conducted a large woodland burn on Pikes Ridge at Green River Lake Tuesday afternoon, the purpose of the burn was to improve woodland habitat for wildlife and encourage oak tree regeneration. The smoke remains in the air all around central Kentucky this morning decreasing air quality.
