On Wednesday night, December 29th, 2021 at approximately 9:00pmCT, Adair County Deputies Tracy McCarol and Kenny Perkins, along with KSP Trooper Jake Harper, arrived at a residence off of Rolling Hills, 7 miles north of Columbia.  

 

Sheriff Josh Brockman told 99.9 The Big Dawg that his office had received multiple complaints and tips called in of possible drug trafficking in the area and had initiated an investigation into the complaints.    

 

As a result of the search, a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl and marijuana was seized.  Over a pound of the substances was seized and will be sent to the KSP Crime Lab for positive ID.Street value of the drugs is up to $30,000 dollars

 

42-year-old Alex Howard and 42-year-old Ronald Hayden of Columbia, KY and 32-year-old Cherish Gilbert of Campbellsville, KY were arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine,trafficking in Heroin, trafficking in fentanyl, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and endangering the welfare of a minor. 

 

Alex Howard was additionally arrested on an outstanding warrant from Metcalfe County and Cherish Gilbert on two outstanding warrants, one from Taylor County and the other from Jefferson County, all three individuals were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
