The National Weather Service officially confirmed an E-F3 tornado with 140 mph winds touching down early Saturday morning north of Campbellsville in the Saloma area, the tornado was 1/4 mile wide (wider in some areas), & travelled 5 miles within Taylor County before moving into Marion County, touching down again in the Calvary community.

The tornado claimed the life of Teresa Duncan of Campbellsville, Taylor County Coroner Daniel Cook told 99.9 The Big Dawg that Duncan died instantly from injuries she received when the tornado struck her residence numerous other people were reported to have been injured and transported to Taylor Regional Hospital and numerous animals were killed in the storm, cows, dog and cats.
