An Adair County man was arrested after shooting incident resulting in one man being sent to University of Louisville Hospital.

Adair County Sheriff Josh Brockman told 99.9 The Big Dawg News that his department received a call early Sunday morning from Adair 911 to respond to the TJ Health Columbia ER to a reported gunshot wound. Upon arrival, officers came into contact with a 17 year old juvenile who had been shot in the left shoulder.

Preliminary investigation showed the incident occured on Jones Chapel Road around 1:00amCT on Sunday morning at a possible party where there were several people present with some consuming alcohol, according to Sherriff Brockman.

18 year old Sedreck Dennis of Jones Chapel Road, Columbia was arrested on charges of wanton endangerment 1st degree and assault 1st degree. 

The investigation is ongoing by the Adair County Sheriff's Office with Deputy Staten leading the investigation.
