On Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 9:59 A.M., Campbellsville Police responded to Green River Plaza in reference to a possible injury collision.
It was determined that 74-year old Barbara J. Willis of Campbellsville was attempting to get gas at a Kroger fuel pump, when she was unable to get her car into park. The vehicle continued to travel in the Green River Plaza parking lot with Ms. Willis’ foot hanging out of the driver’s door. Her foot became caught between the vehicle and the curb, in front of Hibbett’s Sporting Goods. A bystander, heard Ms. Willis yelling for help and ran to her assistance, where he was able to get her vehicle stopped. The bystander then called 911 and rendered aid until EMS arrived on scene.
Ms. Willis was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital by Campbellsville Taylor County EMS.
