Campbellsville Police has received numerous complaints of fake money being passed in the Campbellsville area.  There is not just one denomination of cash being passed, we have received complaints of $5, $10, and $20 bills being passed at different establishments in the area.  The currency has a different feel and the word, “REPLICA”, is printed on the bills.  The statement, “This note is not legal, it is to be used for motion pictures”, is also printed in small letters on the left side of the note.

Campbellsville Police encourages all businesses taking cash to slow down and pay attention to the cash that is being passed. We also encourage businesses to use a counterfeit marker on all denominations of currency.
