Athertonville, KY (June 19, 2020) - On Friday, June 19, 2020 units from Kentucky State Police Post 4 responded to a fatal collision that occurred at 5:32 AM on U.S. 31, 9 miles north of Hodgenville. Preliminary investigations indicate that 32-year-old Miles Boone of New Hope, KY was operating a 2006 Honda CRV south bound when he crossed into the north bound lane and lost control of his vehicle. As Boone entered the north bound lane, he crossed into the path of a 2007 Mack truck, operated by 48-year-old Paul Pellman of Hodgenville, KY. Pellman was unable to avoid the collision and struck the Honda in the front end.
Boone was not wearing a seatbelt and pronounced deceased at the scene by Larue County Coroner Brad Turner.
This collision remains under investigation by Trooper Kevin Dreisbach.
