A 2-vehicle collision results in double fatalities...
On Friday, June 12, 2020 at approximately 4:50pmET, the Taylor County Coroner’s Office was notified of a 2-vehicle fatal collision on US Highway 68 at the intersection of Black Gnat Road. The preliminary investigation indicates that 20 year old Ashia Barrett of Campbellsville was operating a Chevrolet Trailblazer eastbound, when for an unknown reason crossed into the westbound lane striking a Dodge Ram, driven by 37 year old Garrett Milby of Campbellsville head-on. Neither Barrett nor her passenger, 26 year old Jessica Murphy of Campbellsville, were wearing seatbelts. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Taylor County Coroner’s Office. A third passenger in the Barrett vehicle, an infant who was restrained, was airlifted to Norton’s Children Hospital and is listed in stable condition.
Milby was wearing a seat belt and was transported to the hospital.
The collision is still under investigation by KSP Trooper Sullivan and Deputy Wright of the TCSO.
