On Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 9:07pmET, Campbellsville Police responded to the Campbellsville University Campus in reference to a possible intoxicated person screaming. Officer Jonathon Leigh made contact with 22-year-old Richard D. Woodby of Campbellsville. While Officer Leigh was speaking with Woodby, he grabbed Officer Leigh by his shirt. After a brief struggle, Woodby was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Public Intoxication, Assault 3rd degree (police officer), and Criminal Mischief 3rd degree. Woodby was lodged in the Taylor Co. Detention Center.
