Campbellsville Man Leads Police on High Speed Chase

 A Taylor County Man was  arrested after a high speed chase that started in Columbia and ended near Campbellsville, Adair County Sheriff Josh Brockman told 99.9 The Big Dawg that officers attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 37 Chris Janes of Campbellsville.

 

Janes was wanted on Felony Warrants out of Fayette County and was to considered armed and dangerous, Janes failed to stop and the pursuit with speeds reaching 100 mph occured as the chase headed toward Campbellsville on Highway 55 where it ended near Lone Valley Road. 

 

Janes stopped and fled the vehicle and was located nearby with a gun to his head, officers began negotiating with him deploying a taster to subdue him.

 

37 Chris Janes was charged with: 

Reckless Driving

Speeding 26 over the limit

Wanton Endangerment

Resisting Arrest

Fleeing police...

 

The Arrest by the Adair County Sheriffs Dept with addition charges pending.

Adair County was assisted by Campbellsville Police, Taylor County Sheriffs Dept, KSP, Columbia Police.
