Russell County Sheriff Derek Polston reports that around 9 a.m. Thursday morning, a two-vehicle accident occurred on Highway 80 in the Royville community.

18 year old Brooklyn Beard of Magnolia was operating a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. She rear-ended a 2002 Ford van, driven by Russell Antle of Russell Springs as he was waiting to turn into his residence.

Rain-slick road conditions played a factor in the accident.

Brooklyn Beard was arrested on the scene by Sheriff  Derek Polston for driving on a suspended license and no insurance. She was also served with an outstanding warrant and lodged in the Russell County Jail.
