On Monday, December 30, 2019 at 6:25 P.M.,
Campbellsville Police responded to Indian Trail trailer park in reference trespassing and someone starting a fire behind a residence. After a brief investigation, officers came into contact with 54 year old Danny Tungate of Indian Trail trailer park. Mr. Tungate became disorderly and as officers were attempting to place him under arrest, Mr. Tungate ran back into his residence. As officers entered the residence after Mr. Tungate, they were met by Mr. Tungate swinging a shovel and a knife at them. With the assistance of Taylor County Sheriff’s Deputies and speaking with Mr. Tungate for several minutes, he was finally taken into custody without incident. Mr. Tungate was arrested and transported to the Taylor County Detention Center where he was charged with the following:
Disorderly Conduct
Resisting Arrest
Wanton Endangerment 1st degree
Assault 3rd degree (on police officer)
