The Adair County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Thursday morning at 7775 Campbellsville Road. At 8:14amCT, an unknown white male, approximately 5'7"- 5'9" tall, weighing approx. 250lbs, entered the Dollar General store located near the Adair/Taylor County line. He produced a black handgun and demanded money from the employee. The suspect left the business with approximately $150 in cash. He got into a gray SUV believed to be a Chevy Equinox (around a 2012 model) with a female who was waiting. The vehicle them sped toward Taylor County on Hwy 55N.
The Adair County Sheriff's Office is currently working with KSP and Taylor County authorities on the armed robbery investigation. If anyone has any information, please contact the Adair County Sheriff's Office or your nearest law enforcement agency.
