Larry V. Gosser, age 73, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Friday, May 3, 2024 at his residence. He was born on April 14, 1951 in Somerset, KY, a son of the late Garlin and Roberta Auterson Gosser.
Larry was a retired Sergeant with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife after 16 years of service, earning the Shikar Safari International Officer of the Year Award. He took charge in starting the K-9 program with the KDFW. Larry was also instrumental in the reintroduction and repopulation of the native elk and wild turkey in eastern Kentucky. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved the outdoors, loved his animals, and most of all loved spending time with his family and friends.

3 daughters: Lynette Brock (Charlie) of London, KY, Amanda Register (Wayne) of Lake City, FL, and Valerie Vandelinde (Jake Joseph) of Lexington, KY
2 sons: Larry Bradley Gosser of Lexington, KY and Brandon Gosser (Caitilin) of Russell Springs, KY
1 sister: Carol Wilson (Ronald) of Somerset, KY
2 brothers: Lonnie Gosser (Sharon) and Bro. Larold Gosser (Peggy), both of Russell Springs, KY
12 grandchildren: Jordan (Sydney) Hadley, Mallory (Corey) Frye, Garrett and Ivori Vandelinde, Levi and Mackenzie Kirby, Robin and Greta Gosser, Haylea and Adam Brock and Rhett and Reese Register
3 great-grandchildren: Rylee Hadley, Case Frye and Parker Hadley
A host of nieces and nephews
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Groce.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 2:00pmCT at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Joe Gosser officiating
Interment: Pine Grove Cemetery
Visitation: Tuesday, May 7, 2024 beginning at 5:00pmCT and Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home
