Marilyn Sparks Coffey, 86, Adair County, KY

 

Marilyn Sparks Coffey, 86,of the Montpelier community of Adair County, KY died Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 4:13 A.M. at the Wright Personal Care Home in Summersville, KY. She was born January 21, 1938 in Glensfork to the late Henry L. “Dick” and Nellie Murrell Sparks. 

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl M. Coffey on March 23, 2024 and the following siblings: Madeline Loy, Maxine Ulery, Margaret McFarland, Marcella Mudd, and Montford Maylon Sparks.

 

Marilyn was member of the former Pleasant Hill Christian Church and most recently attended Russell Springs Christian Church.  She retired from Farm Credit Services in Columbia and Campbellsville after 32 and a half years as Office Manager.

 

SURVIVORS:

1 son: Shannon “Radar” Coffey (Michelle) of Franklin, Indiana

2 grandchildren: Alexis Carrillo (Justin) and Sawyer Coffey

1 great-grandchild: Rory Carrillo

Brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law: Gene & Lillie Coffey, Ada Coffey, Carl & June Coffey, Guinda & Bobby Miller, and Ina Smith

Several nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends

 

Funeral Service: Sunday, May 5, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Carroll Egnew and Bro. Don Emerson officiating

 

Burial: Haven Hill Cemetery

 

Visitation: After 10:00 A.M. Sunday

 

Casket Bearers: Tyler Antle, Randy McFall, Jason McFarland, Richard Sparks, Kevin O’Dell, Dustin Ballenger

 

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
