King Edward Martin, 65, of Cave City, KY passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026 due to injuries sustained from an accident.

King was a faithful member of Owens Chapel Baptist Church, where he enjoyed singing in the Brotherhood Choir. During his spare time, King loved working on lawnmowers and cars and was known as an all-around handyman. He held degrees in small block engines and brick laying. King also enjoyed playing basketball and spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. He was a loving man who never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Priscilla Ann Martin; his son, Kennedy Martin; his father, Rev. Lester Martin; one brother, Nathaniel Martin; and one sister, Muriel Martin.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 1:00pmET at Owens Chapel Baptist Church with Dr. E.A. Duke officiating

Burial: Pleasant Oak Ridge Cemetery

Visitation: 5:00pm-8:00pmET on Monday, May 18, 2026 at the church
