Mr. Sherfield Thomas DeSpain of Greensburg, KY, son of the late Boyd Thomas DeSpain and Mary Violet Carter DeSpain, was born on Monday, January 13, 1941 in Green County and departed this life on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at his home. He was 76 years, 8 months, and 28 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church and was a lifelong farmer.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Zenith Wynez Berry DeSpain on July 8, 2016 having united in marriage on November 14, 1959.
Survivors include 4 sons and daughters-in-law: Doug & Tina DeSpain; Don & Teresa DeSpain; Timmy & Leah DeSpain Michael & Linda DeSpain all of Greensburg
8 grandchildren: Wesley DeSpain, Jeremy DeSpain, Jacob DeSpain, B.J. Farmer, Thomas DeSpain, Bethanne DeSpain, Dakota Smith and Quindolyn Judd

Funeral services for Sherfield Thomas DeSpain will be conducted at 1:00pmCT, Sunday, October 15, 2017 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery. Bro. Dale Curry officiating.
Visitation is requested from 4:00pm until 8:00pmCT Saturday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7:00amCT Sunday until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River, which can be made at the funeral home.
