Jeanette Jo Hayes, 72, of Summersville, KY was born May 16, 1951 in Wyandotte, Michigan to the late Yvonne Garrow. She departed this life on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at her home.

She was united in marriage to Jimmy Hayes who preceded her in death in July 1996. Besides her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kalua Shaw, her son, Rick Shaw, and stepson, Michael Hayes.

Jeanette was strong in her faith and loved church. She also loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending as much time with them as she could. She loved anything handcrafted that was made for her. She loved slot machines and enjoyed going to the Senior Center and playing bingo.

1 daughter: Yvonne Hayes & son-in-law George Anderson Jr. of Greensburg, KY

1 stepdaughter: Rosemary Gardner of Greensburg, KY

1 stepson: James Gardner of Orlando, FL

5 grandchildren: Joshua Denham, Caleb Denham, Jessica Anderson, George Anderson III & wife Ashley, and Hawaii Gardner

Great-grandchild: Andy Anderson

A host of other great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends

Per her wishes, cremation was chosen.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Crossroads Program of Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church and those can be made at the church at the time of service or anytime at Foster Toler Curry Funeral Home.
